ERN 2026, the 1st Workshop on Experimental Research on Networking
ERN 2026 is a half-day workshop for testbed-driven, reproducible, hardware-in-the-loop research across 5G/6G, O-RAN, optical, quantum and programmable networks, held in conjunction with the 17th International Conference on Network of the Future (NoF 2026). The workshop takes place on 29 September 2026, in Rome, Italy.
Dr. Emilio Calvanese Strinati will represent 6GARROW at the event, delivering the keynote “Secrets of Semantic Communications: From Theory to Experiments and Standardization”.
The keynote will take participants from the theoretical foundations of semantic communications to experimental demonstrations, real-world deployments, and the emerging standardization landscape, including the launch of the new ETSI ISG on Semantic Communications. In addition, results from the European flagship projects 6G-GOALS, 6G-DISAC, and 6GARROW, as well as from the new Orange-CEA Joint Laboratory on Semantic Communications and Native AI Networking, will be shared.
